Being and The Present Moment

"I would recommend to anyone thinking of taking up meditation or even if you aren’t, maybe start by attending an intro session. I am so glad I did!"
- Jasmine (CMC Student)

Today on FB we spoke of recognising the common learnt behaviour of preferring to live in the past and speculating the future rather than choosing to practice being in the present moment.

Romanticising the past, thinking on the choices you made and if only you opted for another because if you had, you would so much happier now.

Fantasizing of future possibilities and living there while not taking any action to actually make it happen – daydreaming hours away with continuous ‘what it’s.

Learn from the past, use your experiences to shape how take action in the present.

Have a desire, an outcome, a goal that you want to achieve and enjoy the ever present moments walking the path to achieve that particular experience.

If you feel ungrounded, anxious or sense of unbalance – physically come back to your senses. Ask yourself what can you see, hear, taste, smell and touch and answer them to bring yourself down into your body.

If you are out and about pay attention to your surroundings and connect with nature and beauty.

Learn to meditate, dive deep and with regular practice experience the joys of greater awareness and more refined experience of life.
