"Seeing is believing, but sometimes the most real things in the world are the things we can’t see."
- The Polar Express
The winter holiday season is nearly upon us and I have been thinking about how to look after yourself, your loved ones and someone you may not know yet.
Whatever your plans are over the next few weeks, there maybe the temptation to have a real party hard attitude in order to balance against work pressure, financial hardship and any family friction that you may have experienced over the last 12 months.
The voice inside that says ‘ I deserve a blow out, let loose, forget everything.’
You do deserve the best, however maybe ask yourself – ‘what is actually the best thing for me?’
If you feel tired and want to bunker down and have a quiet festive season – make time for that.
If you have family obligations that give you no time for yourself, get clever and negotiate.
If money has been tight this year – step back where you can from gifting.
Take the pressure away from yourself and rest.
When you are rested, decision making becomes more appropriate and life has more flow.
If those around you don’t appreciate your requirement for change and embrace your healthy decision making then maybe they aren’t the right people to have in around at the moment.
Bring the sparkle from within this holiday and learn to meditate.
A small change in your daily routine will be the most wonderful gift for you and all of the people around you.
